The White Rock Pride Society is incredibly grateful to Oceana PARC for a generous $10,000 donation that will help us continue bringing free, inclusive events to the White Rock and South Surrey community.
The donation was announced during Oceana PARC’s 25th anniversary celebration, where founder and chairman Rainer Mueller shared a fitting message with the crowd:
“It’s our birthday—and what’s a birthday without presents?”
Rainer Mueller and his daughter, Vivian, presented a total of $25,000 in donations to the White Rock Pride Society and the Kent Street Activity Centre, with $10,000 designated for our Society.
The presentation took place in front of hundreds of Oceana PARC residents and community members, including MP Ernie Klassen, Mayor Megan Knight, members of White Rock City Council and other local dignitaries.
Oceana PARC – Helping Us Continue Our Mission
Oceana PARC have been a long-standing supporter of the White Rock Pride Society, including as an annual sponsor of White Rock Pride Week, and hosting our annual volunteers dinner.
Now with this generous donation Oceana PARC is further demonstrating their commitment to inclusivity and diversity in our community, and are helping us, the White Rock Pride Society, continue to deliver on our mission of bringing together local 2SLGBTQ+ communities, families and allies through events that foster social connection, belonging, celebration, understanding and acceptance.
This donation allows us to continue offering free events throughout the year, including our monthly Rainbow Walks, monthly Pride Minglers while also giving us the opportunity to explore new programming opportunities!
