As a not-for-profit society run by volunteers, the White Rock Pride Society depends on the support and generosity of local sponsors and donors to help us deliver on our mission: Bringing together the White Rock Pride communities, families and allies through events that offer social connection, belonging, celebration, understanding and acceptance.
To align with our mission, it is extremely important to us to offer our events for FREE to our community because we believe Pride should be accessible to everyone.
From monthly Rainbow Walks and Minglers to White Rock Pride Week, hosting free events for our community creates an inclusive and welcoming space where members of our 2SLGBTQ+ communities, families, and allies can connect, celebrate and belong.
However, keeping these events accessible does require financial support, and that’s where we need your help!
WE NEED YOUR HELP – KEEP PRIDE ACCESSIBLE FOR EVERYONE!
Leading up to White Rock Pride Week, we’re inviting our community to help support our mission by making a donation to the White Rock Pride Society.
Your contribution will go directly to covering the costs associated with running our events, including:
- Entertainment and programming for White Rock Pride Week
- Marketing and outreach to connect with our community
- Refreshments and supplies for events
- Welcoming spaces where everyone feels welcome, seen and valued.
Every contribution—big or small— makes a difference.
We have several donation tiers available:
- $50 Donation = Supporter
- Provides supplies and refreshments at community events.
- $100 Donation = Advocate
- Supports community outreach and promotion.
- $250 Donation = Champion
- Helps fund entertainment and programming.
- $500 Donation = Megastar
- Supports Pride Week events where everyone feels welcome, seen and valued.
As a thank you for your generosity, all donors will be recognized on our website and through our marketing channels.
Please note: Donations do not qualify for charitable tax receipts as White Rock Pride Society is a registered not-for-profit society and not a registered charity.
ABOUT THE WHITE ROCK PRIDE SOCIETY
Since our inception in 2018, our volunteer Board of Directors has worked tirelessly to support and strengthen our local Pride community.
Countless hours have gone into making a difference for our local 2SLGBTQ+ community, and it can be seen through several community impacts, including:
- Rainbow Crosswalks at Five Corners and Peace Arch Elementary
- Rainbow lighting at White Rock’s iconic pier
- Support and donations to Rainbow Youth Connection groups at Alex House
- Monthly Rainbow Walks and Pride Minglers that create meaningful community connections
- Annual White Rock Pride Week celebrations including Pride Ride, and Pride Family Day
Through these initiatives and events, we create spaces where everyone feels welcome, seen and valued.
