The White Rock Pride Society’s Rainbow Walks, held on the third Saturday of each month, are a wonderful opportunity for members and allies of the White Rock and South Surrey Pride community to connect while enjoying a gentle nature walk. Following the walk, participants are invited to gather for a complimentary coffee or tea at a local café.
OUR SEPTEMBER RAINBOW WALK
- Date: Saturday, September 19
- Time: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Location: Crescent Beach | Meet at the Blackie Spit parking lot
- Who: Everyone is welcome, including children and dogs on leash!
- RSVP: Not required, but appreciated through our Facebook event page.
- Post-Walk Coffee: Join us at Sunflower Café at approximately 11:00 AM for a complimentary coffee or tea. Please note dogs are not permitted at the Sunflower Cafe so if you’re dog is joining us for the walk please have an after care plan for them if you plan to stay for coffee! Thanks for your understanding.
We will meet at the Blackie Spit parking lot before setting out on a gentle 45- to 60-minute walk along the trails at Crescent Beach.
Keep an eye out for birds and other wildlife as we enjoy the changing season. This peaceful, nature-filled setting provides the perfect backdrop to connect with others and spend time outdoors.
POST-WALK COFFEE AT SUNFLOWER CAFÉ
Following the walk, we will gather at Sunflower Café, where your first coffee or tea is on us!
Sunflower Café has been a Crescent Beach favourite for more than 20 years and takes great pride in serving wholesome and delicious food—including some of the best muffins in town.
We have reserved an area on the patio for our group and look forward to seeing you there! Please note, dogs are not allowed at the Sunflower Cafe so plan for after-care for your dog if you plan to join us for coffee afterwards!
WHAT ARE RAINBOW WALKS?
Rainbow Walks are hosted by the White Rock Pride Society on the third Saturday of each month, except July and December. They offer members of our local Pride community and allies an opportunity to connect, unwind and enjoy nature together.
Whether you come on your own or bring friends, family members or four-legged companions, you’ll find a welcoming and inclusive environment.
An RSVP isn’t required, but selecting “Interested” or “Going” on our Facebook event page helps more community members discover the event—and we appreciate it!

The White Rock Pride Society is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit organization. Our mission is to bring together the White Rock Pride communities, families and allies through events that foster social connection, belonging, celebration, understanding and acceptance.
Throughout the year, we host Rainbow Walks on the third Saturday of each month and Pride Minglers on the last Wednesday, along with our annual White Rock Pride Week celebrations.
