This special gathering brings together our 2SLGBTQIA+ community, allies, family friends and local leaders for a simple yet powerful ceremony that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
As the Pride Flag is raised over City Hall we recognize the progress our community has made toward equality while reaffirming the commitment of building a community where EVERYONE is valued, respected and free to be themselves.
What to Expect at the Pride Flag Raising Ceremony
- 5:00 PM: Opening Remarks from Mayor Knight
- 5:05 PM: White Rock Pride Society President Rob Christensen
- 5:10 PM: Guest speakers, Sevdin MacDonald & Denise Darrell
- 5:20 PM: Ceremonial Flag Raising with Mayor Knight & Rob Christensen
- 5:22 PM: Closing Remarks
This event is open to everyone—friends, families, allies, and members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Whether you are a long-time supporter of Pride or attending your first Pride event, we invite you to stand with us as we raise the flag and our voices in support of love, acceptance, and pride.
