White Rock Pride Week 2026 was once again an incredible celebration of our local 2SLGBTQ+ community, families and allies!
From our best-attended Pride Flag Raising Ceremony yet to the sold-out Friday Night Fever: Love Is Love Gala, this year’s Pride Week was filled with connection, joy, visibility and unforgettable moments.

Pride Flag Raising Ceremony and Pride Ride
On Friday, July 17, we officially kicked off Pride Week with the Pride Flag Raising Ceremony at White Rock City Hall.
White Rock Mayor Megan Knight welcomed attendees with powerful opening remarks about the City’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. We were also honoured to welcome guest speakers Sevdin MacDonald and Denise Darrell, who each spoke passionately to the crowd.
This year’s ceremony was our best attended yet, with approximately 125 people joining us. Seeing so many members of the community come together was an encouraging reminder that our message of belonging, understanding and acceptance continues to resonate throughout White Rock.
Following the ceremony, 16 brightly decorated vehicles took part in our annual Pride Ride, cruising through the streets of White Rock and spreading Pride, joy and celebration throughout the city. Participants were met with cheers and applause as community members lined the route to wave and show their support.
Pride Family Day
On Saturday, July 18, families and community members gathered at Miramar Village for an afternoon of live music, entertainment, activities and local vendors.
With an incredible entertainment lineup that included fan favourite Carrie Dawn, Pride Family Day offered something for guests of all ages to enjoy.
White Rock Pride Society President Rob Christensen and Adera Angelucci kept the festivities moving as our wonderful co-emcees, bringing energy, laughter and plenty of Pride spirit to the celebration.
Thank you to every entertainer, vendor, volunteer and community member who helped make Family Day such a joyful and welcoming event!
White Rock BIA Pride Mingler and Doug and the Slugs
We are incredibly grateful to the White Rock BIA for hosting two fantastic events in support of White Rock Pride Week.
First was the BIA Pride Mingler at the fabulous Morrison Café in Five Corners. More than 75 local entrepreneurs and business owners attended, making it our biggest BIA Mingler yet. It was a wonderful evening of conversation, connection and community.
Then, on Thursday, July 23, Doug and the Slugs took the stage at Miramar Village for a Concert at the Pier presented by TD. The band put on an incredible show that had the crowd dancing, singing and celebrating together in the square.
Friday Night Fever: Love Is Love Gala
Our signature Love Is Love Gala was a huge success, with more than 160 guests joining us for a sold-out evening of disco-inspired fun!
This year’s Friday Night Fever theme brought out some truly fabulous costumes, and our guests did not disappoint. The energy was electric as attendees filled the dance floor and boogied the night away.
Live entertainment featuring Carlotta Gurl, along with our lively auction hosted by Peter Adamo who was also our co-host along with White Rock Pride Society President Rob Christensen, brought plenty of laughter, excitement and cheers from the crowd. It was an unforgettable night and a fabulous finale to White Rock Pride Week 2026.
