The White Rock Pride Society Rainbow Walks, held the 3rd Saturday of every month, are a great opportunity for members and allies of the White Rock/South Surrey Pride community to enjoy a gentle nature walk together followed by a free coffee or tea at a local business.
Our April Rainbow Walk will take place:
- Date: Saturday, April 18th
- Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Location: Crescent Beach | Meet at the Blackie Spit Parking lot
- Who: All ages are welcome, dogs on leash too!
- RSVP: Not required but appreciated on our Facebook event page!
- Post-Walk Coffee: Meet at the Sunflower Cafe around 11 am for a complimentary post-walk coffee or tea.
We will meet at the entrance of Blackie Spit for a gentle walk 45 – 60 minute through the trails along Crescent Beach which is coming alive as we head further into spring! Watch for birds, and other wildlife along with the awakening of plants. Enjoy this peaceful, nature filled setting as a backdrop as you connect with others surrounded by the beauty of nature.
POST WALK COFFEE AT THE SUNFLOWER CAFE
Following the walk we will gather at the Sunflower Cafe where we will treat you to your first cup of coffee (or tea)! Sunflower Cafe has been a staple in Crescent beach for over 20 year and take great pride in providing wholesome and delicious goods (their muffins are among the best in town!).
We have an area on the patio reserved for our group. We look forward to seeing you there.
WHAT ARE RAINBOW WALKS?
Rainbow Walks are a monthly event hosted by the White Rock Pride Society on the 3rd Saturday of every month (except July & December). These walks are an opportunity for members and allies of the White Rock Pride community to connect, unwind, and enjoy nature together.
Whether you come solo or bring your friends, family, or four-legged companions, you’ll find a welcoming, inclusive environment.
An RSVP isn’t required, but clicking “Interested” or “Going” on our Facebook event helps us reach more community members — and we appreciate it!
ABOUT THE WHITE ROCK PRIDE SOCIETY
The White Rock Pride Society is a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organization whose mission is to bring together the White Rock Pride communities, families and allies through events that offer social connection, belonging, celebration, understanding and acceptance.
Every month, we host a Rainbow Walk on the third Saturday and a social mingler on the last Wednesday. We also host our annual celebration of White Rock & South Surrey Pride with our White Rock Pride Week scheduled for July 17-26, 2026!
